Hey everyone, this is Loren from Donut Team and welcome to another Tuesday Topics blog post!
This week, we have a few different subjects to discuss. Let's get into it!
This week, we're adding a new page to this website called Event Releases.
This page will list all mods released for specific events, categorised by the event they were a part of. This includes Donut Team-run events and community-run events.
Currently, this page features entries from the recent Tropical Getaway Mod Jam as well as two of our own event mods (previously on our "Mods" page) but it will feature much more as more events take place within the community.
This week, we have another update on the Scratchy character model from @Borb and @maz.
The model is in a near-completed state and he's looking pretty clean.
Soon, we will be launching some improvements to the Legacy Content Submission System.
While we still intend to retire this system in favour of Mod Bakery in the future, improving the user experience in the interim is still a good idea.
On that note, our former web development lead, @jake, has stepped back in for a bit to help out with this.
Essentially, we will be merging the system back into the DT Forum. This comes with a few key benefits:
- Keeping you on the same site while you manage your content instead of jumping to a trimmed down legacy site.
- Dark mode support.
- Taking advantage of our current session system instead of the legacy one, no more logging in separately!
We don't have an ETA of exactly when this will roll out so, in the meantime, here is a screenshot of the improved interface:
