Introduction

Hey everyone, this is Loren from Donut Team and welcome to another Tuesday Topics blog post!

This week, we have a small bugfix update for Donut Mod and I'd also like to discuss our imminent plans to launch a Patreon.

Donut Mod 4.2.1

This week, we have a small update for Donut Mod to address some of the issues introduced in 4.2.0.

These issues were largely caused by stricter safety checks in a newer version of game.lua we included in this build (stay tuned for details about this next week!).

As usual, you can get this new version at the release page below:

Patreon Plans

Next up, we're currently making plans to launch a basic Patreon page!

The purpose of this would be to allow the community to directly support the on-going costs of our various web services such as the DT Forum and DT Docs as well as upcoming services like Mod Bakery. Contributions would help immensely as we improve and build our these services since we'd no longer have to pay for them out of pocket, at least not as much.

Our mods, both ones that are currently released as well as all future releases, will always be free to download and there will never be early access for Patreon subscribers.

This means our Patreon will be effectively a monthly donation for those that choose to subscribe. That said, in the future, we'd like to implement a small way to rep your support on your Donut Team profile. Here's a quick concept of what that may look like:
