Introduction

Hey everyone, this is Loren from Donut Team and welcome to this week's Tuesday Topics.

It's been a hectic week for me but I have been chipping away at some stuff so I'm going to touch on those things today.

API Happenings

This week, I've mostly been reworking a few endpoints, adding some new ones and introducing some new data models to the codebase relating to staff profiles for the new Team page. I'm hoping to launch that soon by the way since, in case you haven't noticed, that page is currently under construction because I didn't have time to finish it before launching this site last week.

I also resolved various issues relating to authentication and the new quick drawer. My apologies if you were affected by these issues!

Blog Page Improvements

This week, I also improved the very page you're reading this post on a bit:

  • Blog topics are back and shown under the byline!
  • There's now a separator line between the post header and the post contents.

The blog homepage, where you can view all of our posts, will also hopefully be returning very soon with some much needed improvements such as pages (since we have quite a few posts now!) and more filtering options to read only the posts that interest you. Stay tuned for that!

SHAR with mods on the Steam Deck

This isn't really a development thing but last week, I recieved my Steam Deck in the mail and it's a wonderful device.

Even more wonderful is it's ability to play the PC version of SHAR with mods!

I recorded a short, super informal demo of this that you can watch here if you're at all interested. I'm considering making a more formal tutorial for this, if that's something that would interest anyone. It's pretty simple to setup, though, with a bit of time in the Deck's desktop mode.

Conclusion

That is about all I have to discuss this week. Thanks for stopping by for another Tuesday Topics and we will see again next week!
