• Tuesday Topics #4: Welcoming @Sparrow to Donut Team & Open Applications for Moderation Staff Positio

Introduction

Hey everyone, this is Loren from Donut Team and welcome to another Tuesday Topics blog post!

There's not much to discuss today but we do have a couple things on the docket:

Welcoming Sparrow to Donut Team

Longtime community member, Sparrow , will be joining our team to assist with the development of future updates to Road Rage Returns, general quality assurance and moderation.

We look forward to working with her. :)

Open Applications for Moderation Staff Positions

We are also looking to expand our moderation team with more community members who may be interested in joining.

Moderation Staff members are expected to help enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines on the forum and within our official Discord server. You are not expected to be available all the time, of course, but this role does come with some expectation of being vigilant when you are able to do so.

If you are interested in applying for this position, please send an email to loren@donutteam.com answering the following questions to the best of your ability:

• Why do you think you'd be a good fit for our moderation team? What do you hope to bring to the table?
• Do you have any past experience moderating online communities we can look towards as an example?
  • This is not required but it would be helpful to include if you have any!
• What is your opinion on cinnamon buns?
  • Your answer to this question does not actually affect your chances, certain members of the team just wanted to know.

Upon recieving your application, it will be shared with the rest of the moderation team for review and discussion.

Furthermore, we will be accepting applications until the end of September so you have a couple of weeks to think it through.
