Train Car Artwork

Yes, I didn't have that great of lighting, and this car was made of plastic, with a slightly glossier finish than the other cars, so I had to try to shoot without flash. Set something up earlier that should make it easier. Go figure, this particular car was made in glossy finish and flat finish. Fla...

Sorry, Jake. Didn't mean to draw attention, it was a genuine question. I think I got here after this infamous Justin went trolling en masse, or whatever he did, so I'm really just trying to figure this out.

News about me, and TRotC

Wow, that's awful to hear. I've been laid up for a while myself, but it's due to an old work injury from some years back, from when I was operating a freight train, and a locomotive malfunction caused it to pick up too much speed downhill (Moved the brake handle to apply brakes, as normal, but the b...

Cool, then I'll get some artwork suitable for you shortly then. Probably in the next 24 hours or so. If I upload them as I did that sample (Which was 512px by 512px), would that work for you?

Since the moving car was my "Guinea Pig", I need to replace the artwork for every test I do. But here's a good example. I photographed the right side of an old model boxcar (Made in the 1950s), the flat finish on the wood body (Back when models were often made of wood) was great for photography. As...

Thanks. I need to get some screen grabs, but the tests I did turned out quite well. I used photos I took of models I own. I used two scales of models, both turned out just fine. Needless to say, my railroad layouts (Yes, plural, I have three here at home, plus one I built into an old briefcase, plus...

Great. I'm working on some textures as it is, took some 90 degree broadside pics of my larger model train freight cars to see if that would work. If there is any specific logos or lettering you need, let me know. I am pretty good with photoshop, CAD, things like that. Every piece of equipment a rail...

I played this as far as I could, and I have to say, it is AWESOME! I do like how Marge's day (Level 1) parallels Homers in the vanilla game. If you ever saw the Simpsons episode "Trilogy of Error" your mod reminds me of that episode in how it plays out. Very well done. I agree about going the wrong...

Either way is fine. I can work with just about anything you have, but the easiest and neatest way to create new cars, as far as texture would be as follows: Three large cubes, side by side, to form the main body. Most freight cars out there, and a good many passenger cars too, can be visually divide...
