Yeah I'm not too sure what's up with that. Now that I try it myself it seems to do the same for me, it didn't do this the last time I tried it so I'll look into it some.

There is no way to make a custom character with skeletal rigging at this time.

Frame Limiter defaults to on in the latest version of the mod Launcher and you should never turn it off to be honest. This game works best at 60 fps with issues of varying levels of severity above or below that.

The .obj format does not support any sort of skeletal rigging and as a result exporting and re importing a model will cause it to be lost.

You don't use Convert To Shop Preview on the car's actual ingame model in art/cars. That's for the art/frontend/dynaload/cars version which is used when displaying it in a Car Shop (like when you talk to Gil). You probably want to make the P3D again without using that tool on it. Glad to hear it's playable. This game has lots of noticeable issues of varying severity both above and below 60FPS so it's best to keep it around that range. Lucas has an experimental Vertical Sync hack already so like Jake said, expect one in the future.
Is there any way to use a ps2 controller with pc hit and run?

If you can connect it as a HID and Windows recognizes it as a game controller I don't see why not
