Introduction

Hey everyone, this is Loren from Donut Team and welcome to another Tuesday Topics.

This week, I'd like to discuss some more updates to our various websites that have rolled out or will be rolling out soon.

Let's get into it!

Website Updates

During the last Tuesday Topics, I discussed the various website updates we rolled out.

Since then, I have been steadily rolling our more improvements and working on more new features:

Profile Showcase Customization

You can now customise your profile showcases (About me, forum topics, etc.) in the following ways:

  • You can move showcases up or down depending on what order you want them in.
  • You can toggle showcases on or off.
    • Note that users will still be able to view your content from your profile's sidebar.
    • Also note that each showcase has specific requirements for showing up, even if turned on.
  • You can now customise the max number of releases shown in the Releases showcase (up to 10) as well as the sort order.

That last point isn't relevant for most users yet but on that note...

Mod Bakery Release Management

Soon, users with the "Mod Bakery Creator" role will be able to create and manage their releases on Mod Bakery. I am midway through implementing the various features related to this functionality right now and I am very excited to finish them up so we Mod Bakery can really flourish.

Currently, only a very limited subset of users have the aforementioned role but we will have a basic application process for getting it in the future (we expect to be very generous about giving it out). That said, if you're interested in being one of the first to get it, shoot me an email at loren@donutteam.com about why you think you should and we can discuss it.

Moderation Queues

I'm also working to improve the toolset available to our moderation staff in the form of moderation queues.

These queues will show our moderators content that has yet to be moderated so they can approve it or take the necessary action to remove it and issue a penalty to the user, depending on if it breaks our community guidelines.

This feature isn't relevant to regular users but I wanted to mention it anyway as it will be very helpful when it comes to keeping on top of spam content (which we're already pretty good about doing).

Conclusion

That’s all for this week. Stay tuned for another Tuesday Topics in the future!
