Introduction
Hey everyone, this is Loren from Donut Team and welcome to another Tuesday Topics!
This week, I am simply here for the introduction and conclusion, the real meat of this post will be 1561 talking about today's update to Jeff's Map Creator!
Jeff's Map Creator 0.5
Hello everybody, it's The Butter Apple here with another update on Jeff's Map Creator!
I am very excited to announce that version 0.5 is now available! With this new update there are a handful of additions, let's dive into them!
Inst Stat Phys Chunk Support
That is correct you can now create, import and manipulate instance static physics chunks!
Dyna Phys Chunk Support
With the above addition this was a must, you can now import and manipulate dynamic physics chunks!
Custom Shader Support
A long awaited feature is the ability to create and export shaders. I am glad to announce this is a thing!
Object/P3D tags
You can now tag Game Objects with an object and P3D tag! The P3D tag will allow the exporter to export into multiple files. Something to note is this is still a WIP and there are some bugs to work on.
Editor Improvements
I have added a Grid and some settings on the right hand side. Feel free to play around, some settings don't currently work but I still wanted to push the feature.
Also when creating a new scene you'll be greeted with a default Cube object, have fun with it.
That's all I have to share, if you would like to see a more detailed changelog you may find one here here. This update took some time but I wanted to get it out before working on my next big feature.
As with everything, this tool is still heavy WIP and expect bugs and issues to occur, if you find any please report them here.
I'll now hand this back to Loren!
Conclusion
That's all for this week. I hope you enjoyed this week's Tuesday Topics and we'll see you again in two weeks!
