That's really interesting. But why did one of these chases sort-of start on his (the person who I convinced to retry the game) version? Is there any way to trigger it?

Marge's orange Station Wagon was what I was referring too, yes. Also, this game has gotten to my head so much that I forgot what the Family Sedan actually looks like.
