Introduction
Hey everyone, this is Loren from Donut Team and welcome to another Tuesday Topics blog post!
Today, we'd like to discuss a new Community Mod Jam, the Additional Characters resource pack, and some internal improvements to our web services.
Community Mod Jam #2: Tropical Getaway
Today, Yzma announced another Community Mod Jam!
The theme this time around is Tropical Getaway!

- Your mod MUST include a new character costume and/or a new vehicle.
- You can also score bonus points for any additional characters or vehicles.

The following prizes are up for grabs:

Additional Characters
2021.09.01 Update
During this past week, we released an update for the Additional Characters resource pack.
This new update includes various new characters such as Kirk Van Houten and the Crazy Cat Lady.
Upcoming Characters
Since we'd like to release another update before 2023, we are already working on more characters for this pack.
One such character is Borb 's Duffman:
We don't yet have an ETA for when Duffman and other characters we're working on will be added but we hope to have them out in the near future!
Internal Web Service Improvements
While I still don't have much to show on the frontend side of things, I have spent a lot of time this week creating a new internal library called DonutBox.
This library houses a lot of shared classes and middlewares for our various Node.js powered web services (such as this website and the new API).
Prior to now, I'd just been copying around a bunch of the same code and it wasn't a very efficent workflow so centralising a lot of it will help a lot in the long run as we spin up more websites (such as Mod Bakery).
Conclusion
Thanks for reading another one of our Tuesday Topics posts! See you again next week.

P.S.: Borb thinks you should listen to this (which I forgot to link last week) and also this.
