how to not hard mod game

https://docs.donutteam.com/docs/lucasmodlauncher/mods/creating-mods Copy files from the game into the "CustomFiles" folder. Read the docs there, it may help you. If you have any qeustions, ask.

LMLM files can be marked as decompilable. To find out if it is, right-click the mod in the mod launcher. If "Decompile" is not grayed out, click that and extract the files somewhere. If it grayed out, then you are unable to decompile/edit it.

Oh, I understand your question now. You'd have to mod the mini map yourself

You need to change what car it loads in level.mfk: // chase/harass vehicle LoadP3DFile( "art\cars\cPolice.p3d" );
