No do not delete it for no one. Set it to SetDriver("none"); This means there is no driver for the car.

Base game save files are not compatible with Donut Mod. Remove that save from your Donut Mod saves and continue playing Cheers.

You can try turning off mouse look and you can set left click/right click in the controls menu already.
