Is there an option somewhere in that window that reads "Use default setting"? If so, you should be able to untick that and click "Browse" to the right of the path. I'm on v1.5.0, so apologies if that option doesn't exist on your version.

The only hack you need for this is Custom Files, as this functionality is present in the vanilla game. You may already have that required, but if not, just add RequiredHack=CustomFiles to Meta.ini.

Using the Plow King as an example, you would open the copy of plowk_v.con you've placed in your mod and change the line reading SetDriver("none"); to read SetDriver("barney");. Please note the characters you wish to add as drivers may be suppressed in some levels as they make appearances around town...

The double posting guidelines state that "multiple posts in a row that do not add to the conversation will be removed." That second post adds to the conversation. People would not have known to look for the updated version of the mod if they hadn't posted a second time.
Beta Build Help

The beta build is the PS2 version of the game. In order to run it on a PC, you would need a PS2 emulator. If you would instead prefer to run it on an original PS2, you would need to use FreeMcBoot or something similar.

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is. TWIY uses the Composite Drawable 2 format which cannot be viewed or exported with the Editor. The piece-by-piece OBJ method, to the best of my knowledge, is your only course of action.

Based on the name of the map file and the names of the structures contained within, that file seems to be related to collision. Collision files generally have no use for textures.
