Using Lucas' RCF Explorer, you cannot replace sounds in the RCF. It's still possible to use Lucas' hacks, however, to replace any sound you want in SHAR. If you set up a mod launcher mod, you can throw new RSD files in CustomFiles/conversations, and the game will read those instead. We have some tut...

I'm noticing you're mentoning using Windows 98 Compatibility Mode and you have no clue what the frame limiter option is. I assume you're not using Lucas' Hit & Run Launcher to run the game? Basically, we'd recommend that you download Lucas' Hit & Run Mod Launcher from here. It's the very first downl...

From my understanding, the Street Race countdowns are hardcoded to always play in every Street Race, meaning removing the countdown won't get rid of them. However, what you can do is edit dialog.spt from scripts.rcf (which you can extract via Lucas' RCF Explorer), tell the "countdown" conversations...

I get the feeling these cutscenes were re-done near the end of development cycle, which might explain why they didn't have enough time to re-animate the scenes that got cut from here. While I'm glad they cut out the odd saxophone where Marge is...excited...by Homer's paranoia, it bugs me that they l...

EDIT: We solved the issue. Lucas realized you were trying to export the .dds file, but Lucas has a nice workaround. Download P3D Editor 4, then go ahead and choose "View -> Show Advanced Chunks". Reopen alex.p3d, and double click on the .dds to show the image data. You can extract that, and view the...

You've already created another thread about this. We're still trying to figure out if there's a solution, but please don't make another identical topic.

If you make a Wizpig race somehow with him on his missile from the second race, I'd love to see it. Jake had actually told me about the ATV being hidden in the water, but this is the first time I've heard about the "Jake was here" easter egg. I feel like Jake is trying to continue a tradition with a...

I should also clarify that we really don't mind music from Road Rage as well. I believe Jake is also accepting of music from other licensed Simpsons titles since they fall into the same franchise license, but I'm not entirely certain.

The Simpsons: Hit & Run Donut Team Approved

Thanks for taking the time Noviwan to respond to the Alien "Auto"topsy bit! It's kind of interesting knowing that the whole team collaborated on that, and it's history certainly sounds interesting! Out of curiosity, I assume Level 7 was re-worked in order for these type of missions to work better? A...

The Simpsons: Hit & Run

To add to Jake's question, was there ever meant to be a Level 8 and Level 9 at some point in development? I ask because the PC version has two folders for "level08" and "level09" in the "scripts/missions" folder, and there are a couple of other folders relating to "level08" and "level09". To me, it...
