An error when spawning a 2nd drivable vehicle (not traffic) in a mission

Posted on (9 years ago)

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you for clarifying! I apologize you have to fall back on your back up plan, but I'm afraid there isn't a way to make this work with Bonus Cars. However, you can have the player use a "forced" car for one section of the mission with SetForcedCar, and then use SwapInDefault...

An error when spawning a 2nd drivable vehicle (not traffic) in a mission

While it's excellent you have a backup plan, the case with SetForcedCar not working though is definitely pretty odd, and should be addressed though in case you make another missions that requires the player to used a forced car. I can't think of why the issues you're having are happening to begin wi...

An error when spawning a 2nd drivable vehicle (not traffic) in a mission

A bit of a late response, and probably not the one you want, but there really isn't an easy way without horribly corrupting the game to do what you want. I assume the answer to your first issue with the car not appearing until a reset is because the game reloads that Level Region when you reset, rea...

Mission: Make Missions

I'd recommend just grabbing Notepad++ , and then setting up a mod folder. The easiest way to do that is to navigate to C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\Lucas' Simpsons Hit & Run Mod Launcher\Mods, and create a mod folder there. Granted, you can create the mod folder anywhere and just add it to y...

Some Challenge Mod

Out of curiosity, how do you plan to balance the cars? I fully approve of the idea and it sounds awesome, considering SHAR has a bunch of cars that are completely useless to the player (I'm looking at you, Duff Truck), and usually the player's default car is all they need to get through the main mis...

Level 3 of DM3 Review

Posted on (9 years ago)

As the developer of Level 3, I have to say I'm incredibly excited to finally get some feedback about the missions and everything. First off, in response to Gibstack, I'm very happy that you enjoyed all of the main missions. They were admittedly what I placed the most effort into and am pretty satisf...

Level 7 - Rich Side Restoration

Posted on (9 years ago)

Awesome, @SomeBot! I'd love to see what you could do with Level 7 with the other side restored! And yes, I'd greatly appreciate credit if you don't mind. I forgot to mention in my original post that anybody's free to take the files from the non-compiled version if they're interested in using all of...

my car textures

Would you please upload these P3Ds in a Launcher format, so people don't have to set these up by themselves? You can figure out how to do that here. Just set up the Meta.ini and then place the car P3Ds in CustomFiles/art/cars.

How to make a Derby Mission

Posted on (9 years ago)

Pretty much what legomariofanatic said. You set up a mission script and have it contain stages where you have to destroy the car to complete the stage. All you have to do is set the car's AI to "chase". This causes the car you're trying to destroy to target you, making it look as if it's fighting ba...
